FALU SPELMANSLAG (Sweden)

Falu Spelmanslag, as did many others, was formed as a result of the wave of revival and renewed interest in traditional music which swept through Sweden in the '70ties.

The repertoire was right from the start based on traditions from Österdalarna, Bingsjö and Boda down to Rättvik. Danceability is a priority and waltzes, schottis and polskor are mixed in with springlekar from Västerdalarna and Norwegian Rörospols.
