Brian Gear & Violet Tulloch (Shetland)

Brian Gear is unquestionably Shetland's foremost young fiddle player.
A previous Young Fiddler of the Year and a student of the late, legendary Willie Hunter, whose unique style and skill lives on in Brian, he is currently carving out quite a name for himself on the international music scene, having performed recently as far afield as Thailand, Spain, Scandinavia, Ireland, and of course closer to home in numerous venues within the UK.

Violet Tulloch is the leading exponent of the Shetland Style of piano accompaniment. She is one of a small group of distinguished musicians whose work has given Shetland music the reputation it enjoys at the present time. Violet has appeared on numerous TV shows and has played on some fifteen albums over the years. Her skill and experience is much in demand by all the best fiddlers.
