Halling - A very Norwegian Dance

Extremely simplified you could perhaps describe halling as a kind of Norwegian break dance to traditional music. Often performed by a man wanting to express the opposite sex it also exist as a couple dance.

Halling is a physically demanding dance involving many throws, somersaults and high kicks. The course is therefore limited to three hours per day divided into a forenoon and an afternoon session

Jon Ellingsen has four times won the national championships in Norway and is an internationally known dance instructor.

Sophia Eriksson is the fiddler providing live accompaniment during the course.

Fee 1 750 SEK.
