Oriental Dance for Beginners

The rhythms, the see-through veils, the hips swaying with the music, the beauty and the sensuality.

For all of you who have been fascinated by the movements and the mystery surrounding the oriental dance, we now give you an opportunity to experience that mystical world.

The beginners course in oriental dance include technique training and step combinations in oriantale and different kinds of Egyptian folklore. During the course we'll also work with a pop-choreography with folklore elements.

We'll be working hard so bring training clothes and, if you want, a shawl to wear round your hips.

Instructor Karin Hallander is a teacher at the dancing school of the Egyptian Cultural centre in Stockholm and perform both as a soloist and as a member of the dance group Nefertari.
