Fiddle Playing for Adult Beginners

Of course you can learn to play the fiddle even if you're a grown-up! You will not be an accomplished folk-musician after just a couple of days, but you'll get a great start and a solid base to build upon.

This is a complete beginner's course. You'll learn by ear, so there is no need to have skills in reading sheet music. If you don't have your own fiddle, we can make arrangements for you to borrow or rent one here.

The instructor Anna Ristner is a strong-willed folk musician and formally trained music teacher from Sundborn, Sweden.
Anna received her degree in folk music from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. She has dedicated her life to music and has a diverse and eventful work experience as a musician, teacher, cultural administrator and booking agent. Currently she works as a development official and coordinator at the Royal Academy of Music and she continues to teach and play violin.

Please mention on your application if you need to rent or borrow a fiddle.
