Sine
Bach Rüttel (Denmark)
Even
in a fairytale-like country like Denmark, with its castles, fortresses,
islands and fjords, old cities and ancient countryside, a female banjo
player is very rare…
However Sine Bach Rüttel grew up with the instrument. Her father was the
master and the country and bluegrass scene on the island of Zeeland (Sjælland)
was the playground.
After a few years of playing, Sine joined a bluegrass band and the touring
of Denmark's own "country land" began. Every joint and dancehall,
country festival and bluegrass party, even the rough biker bars learned
about smiling Sine, her great voice and thriving banjo-playing.
Sine Bach Rüttel: banjo/vocal
Jacob Rathje: guitar
Søren Bøjgård: bass
Frank Marstokk: drums
