Courses 2002

Continuation course - Fiddle Playing for Adult Beginners

Finally - the course that has been sought after by so many festival-participants! This is a perfect course for those of you who attended the beginners' course last year or for you who have tried to learn on your own.

During the week we run through the basics once again and advance at a rapid pace. To attend this class participants should be able to play between 5 and 10 tunes before the course begins. We learn by ear so it is not necessary to know how to read sheet music. If you don't have a fiddle of your own, the festival can make arrangements for you to borrow or rent one.

Instructor: Anna Ristner - a strong-willed folk musician and formally trained music teacher from Sundborn, Sweden.
Anna received her degree in folk music from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. She has dedicated her life to music and has a diverse and eventful work experience as a musician, teacher, cultural administrator and booking agent. Currently she works as a development official and coordinator at the Royal Academy of Music and she continues to teach and play violin.

Please mention on your application if you'll need help with obtaining a violin for the
course.

Fee 1 700 kr.
