Courses 2002

Children meet Africa

Once again we offer children an exciting opportunity to discover and participate in the remarkable and rich music culture of Africa. Instructor Edo Bumba offers a rhythmic journey all the way through the body. With the help of drums, song and dance he opens doors to great fun and adventure.
Edo, who won the Royal Music Academy’s teacher prize in 1997, originally comes from Zaire but now makes his home in Gothenburg. He was educated at the College of Music, where he know teaches and he has years of experience working with children, youth and adults.

Edo will bring drums to the classes that you can hire, but if you have your own djembe please bring it along. All children from the age of five are welcome. The course takes place in the forenoon, which means that it lasts approx. four hours including breaks each day.

Fee: 1 300 SEK per child, no charge for parents.
Adults without children are welcome but we can’t accept unaccompanied children.
