CARA DILLON

Born in 1975 and raised in her home town of Dungiven, Co Derry, Cara Dillon comes from a family steeped in the tradition of Ireland.

In 1995 Cara replaced singer Kate Rusby in the new ' folk super-group' Equation, which she left a year later together with one of the bands founding members, Sam Lakeman.

The album 'Cara Dillon' almost entirely made up of traditional material, was released on Rough Trade Records in the UK on 16th July 2001 to critical acclaim.
