Of course – you can learn to play the fiddle even if you are a grown-up! You will not be an accomplished folk-musician after just a couple of days, but we will give you a good start. This is a complete beginner’s course. You learn by ear, so there is no need to have skills in sheet reading. If you don’t have your own fiddle, you can borrow/rent one here. Instructor: Jonas Hjalmarsson – A fiddler with his musical roots in Älvdalen and Orsa. Jonas educated at The Royal University College of Music in Stockholm and works as a fiddle teacher at the folk high school in Malung. He also teaches courses as this one all over Sweden.
