This course is traditionally one of our most popular. It consists of tune learning (by ear) and technique exercises. Dancing and singing are included. The course is intended for children and teenagers between 7-17. If you’re very young, then we expect you to have been playing for at least two terms. Four years of playing are required of those are older. We want you to attach a letter with your application, where you tell us about your age, how long you have been playing, what method you have been using, which teacher and last played song/piece and if you have participated in FFF:s Fiddle Playing – Children and Youth course in previous years. It is important that you in your letter inform us if there are friends that will participate in the course or other special circumstances that we should consider when we form the groups. Instructors: Pelle Gustavsson, Maria Jonsson and O’Tôrgs Kaisa Abrahamsson, skillful folk musicians with many years of experience of teaching children. The course will go on for 2-3 hours/day, Sunday-Friday. We’re going to divide the participators into morning- and afternoon-groups. Older folk musicians will visit the classes during the course and we also collaborate with some of the other exciting courses at FFF. Fee: 1 300 SEK. | sunday-friday halfday |
