A course for those who have always been tempted to learn, who have longed and ached to experience the closeness, the intensity and the sensuality of the Swedish polska. Here are you going to be guided with ease and knowledge into the world of polska. The focus for the course is the actual dancing, i.e. dancing with a partner, sensitivity towards the partner, on technique, expression and balance between dance and music. These are the tools needed for an exciting dance-experience.The instructor is Bernt Persson – lecturer in folk dance at the University College of Dance, leader for the Swedish Folk dance ensemble 1981- 1992 and also dancer in Virvla. Bernt started with folk dance in 1965 and took his first polska-course in 1966! The music is provided by the fiddler Jeanette Jansson. Fee: 1 600 SEK. | wednesday-friday |
