Artists 2001
Every year a few young musicians are selected by Sveriges Spelmäns Riksförbund - The Swedish Traditional Musicians National Organisation - who are given the ooportunity to spend a week in close contact with the foremost people in traditional and world music at the festival. Falun Folkmusik Festival is their host, and many of the youngsters who have spent a week here has later developed to in turn becoming great fiddlers and musicians today. The young fiddlers this year have their roots either in the official guest province Småland or in our own province of Dalrna. They are: Lisa Karltun, Huskvarna; Markus Gustavsson, Habo; Nina Ferm, Nyköping; Anders Löfberg, Fagerhult; Emma Kvarnström, Mora and Annika Nygard, Mora. It is part of the tradition that the Young Fiddlers introduce themselves to the festival audience in one or two concerts. | Wednesday Dalecarlia
