Artists 2001
When people hear the çoçeks, the oros and the tsiftelis that Süperstar Orkestar play they usually tap their feet and think of movies. They sound like the music played in "The Time of the Gypsies", "Underground", "Black Cat, White Cat" and so on. Süperstar Orkestar comes from Stockholm, founded in 98, and they have recently released their debut album. They play the music often heard in the Balkan parades and at weddings. This is about one drummer and a whole bunch of wind instrumentalists and a forceful energy that sooner or later will enchant even the ones who know nothing about music. Süperstar Orkestar consists of: Lars Ydgren, clarinet, Jonas Jersil, saxophone, Magnus Hedenborg, trumpet, Hċkan Säfvestad, tenor tuba, Göran Christensen, bass tuba and Aleksander Dubowski, davoul and darbouka. | Thursday The Dance Hall 20.00 |
