Easy-to-like Turkish soul music from the Bosporus and urging folk rock from Österbotten is on the menu when the Finnish band Slobo Horo enter the stage. The members may look a bit dangerous but they are the gentlest Balkan-surf-rockers in the world. Sometimes the equally odd and bouncy folk rock drips with Bosnian crooning, sometimes it takes us straight to the boulevards of Helsinki. The accordion and the fiddle are merged with the electrified rhythm section and on top are the organic sounds of the clarinet and the saxophone. Slobo Horo have been playing for more than ten years, they have released three albums and recently they contributed to the record "Balkan Without Borders". A global collaboration created to support the Doctors Without Borders organisation. There is a spiritual highway connecting Järvenpää and Skopje. Let’s go! | Friday Main Stage 19.00 |
