Moder Jords Massiva Sweden

Moder Jords Massiva is a musical collective from Uppsala and Stockholm doing much attracted shows where club music, dub, reggae, rap, singing and poetry are mixed totally improvised. This January 17 of the group’s members traveled to Uruguay to pay a visit to hip hop kings of Montevideo: Platano Macho. The singer in Platano Macho has an older brother in Sweden and he came up with the idea in ´97 when he saw Moder Jords Massiva performing in Uppsala.

In a temporarily set up studio in the attic of an old abandoned house outside of Montevideo, they worked on material for the group’s forthcoming album.

Some of the members of Moder Jords Massiva are also part of the club "Good People", that was awarded for making Stockholm a better place to live and for spreading feelings of love by Dagens Nyheter, Sweden’s largest newspaper.
