Boys of the Lough

Boys of the Lough have been at the festival many times. Aly Bain, fiddle, originally from Shetland, Cathal Mcconnell from Ireland, flute & vocals and Dave Richardson, Northumberland, mandola, concertina. A while ago the band got two new members, the accordion-player Brendan Begley from Kerry and Malcolm Stitt, Scotland Highlands, guitar and bagpipe.

In their 33rd year as a band, 18 recordings and 51 US tours – it’s an impressing list. We are proud that FFF is their favourite festival.

There will be four courses with Boys of the Lough. Both the Introduction and the Continuation levels are open to all instrumental but require a more than adequate knowledge of your individual instrument.
